This summer has been very hot and I’m not going to be sorry to see it end if it continues with these hot temperatures. When it is over 90 degrees, it is just too hot to enjoy outdoor activities. I like it best when the weather is milder – maybe 80 degrees. But once it goes to 90 or above, I’m staying indoors as much as I can.
There is an old man selling hot boiled peanuts from the back of his pickup truck. He just pulls over on the side of the road and puts a piece of poster board up on a stick about 50 from the back of the truck so you have time to see the sign and pull over. There are always one or two cars parked by his truck with the driver buying his peanuts. I’ve never tried them, but they must be good!
With cooler weather coming on, I have really been thinking about adding one of those electric fireplaces like I have seen in a lot of peoples homes. I think they are really nice looking and do help heat your home too. I love all of the other things we have done around here and I’m sure a fireplace would really set the living room off.
Well it’s the time of year when a lot of people are moving their campers back home. In fact, there’s rv towing going on everywhere you look along the coast. I don’t really remember seeing so many headed back home like this year. I wonder if that’s another sigh on the economic woe’s or what? I sure hope not because this year did turn out decent on the coast for a change.
This morning it was so cool that I had to turn the heat on for the first time since summer more or less, ended. I guess I better get a good stock of furnace filters so that I don’t forget to change them once a month. If I don’t have them on hand, I forget sometimes and that’s not good for your furnace at all. It’s a lot cheaper to change your filter than to change your heater.
